SCM Life Science (CEO Song Sun-uk) has obtained New Excellent Technology (NET) certification granted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute.
SCM Life Science, a company specializing
in developing stem cell treatments, announced on the 13th that it has received
a new technology certification for the "fraction culture method for high
purity stem cell separation" from the Korea Health Industry Promotion
Agency in Osong, Chungcheongbuk-do.

SCM Life Science' “Subfractionation
Culturing Method” technology can quickly acquire single-cell-derived adult stem
cell groups from relatively small amounts of bone marrow, identify the
characteristics of stem cell groups, and separate and cultivate high-purity
stem cells that can exert the most suitable efficacy for each disease. SCM Life
Sciences has completed patent registration in major countries such as the
United States, Europe, Japan, and China as well as domestic patents for the
technology.
SCM Life Science is developing stem cell
treatments for various immune diseases using "“Subfractionation Culturing
Method” for high purity stem cell separation." Stem cell therapy for Graft
versus host disease is currently in phase 2 clinical trials and plans to
officially release it after obtaining product approval in 2019 when clinical
trials are successfully completed.
Meanwhile, new health technology
certification is a certification granted to new technologies developed by
domestic companies, research institutes, and universities, and certified
companies can benefit from using NET marks for three years from the date of NET
certification. In addition, benefits such as technology development funds,
technology transfer and commercialization by the Korea Health Industry
Promotion Agency, exhibition support, technical guidance and domestic and
international quality certification acquisition support, and priority purchase
requests from state institutions and public institutions.
